Description :

Coconut Island, or Koh Maprao, is a small island measuring about 1km by 2km and is the home to approximately 600 families.  The location of the island is just off the east coast of Phuket, easily accessible by a 400 meter boat ride from Laem Hin pier in Phuket. Coconut has over the past few years seen great changes as foreigners and others have ‘discovered’ this pretty island. 

This property is possibly the most spectacular on the entire Coconut Island and also beyond.  With a total area of 20 rai and 1 ngan, or 32,400 square meters, this property has an ocean frontage of approximately 400 meters.  It (the ocean front) contains beaches and coves, spectacular rock formations as well as deep water.  As this is the southern point of the island, the land is facing east, south as well as south west, which means you can see the sun rise as well as set.   The land is covered by several hundred mature coconut trees and trimmed grass.  Virtually, 100% of the land has seaviews, in some places up to 270 degrees.  Views to the east towards Koh Yao Yai, south east towards the islands of Koh Kai, famous for its snorkeling and white sands, south west towards Koh Sirey and Phuket.  Due to its location at the southern point, this property is very private and would be the ideal location for a villa resort.  There is also a 10 meters wide private access road to the public concrete road.

The surrounding seascape is one of the most photographed in the world. Phang-Nga Bay is famous for the dramatic limestone karsts and islets that loom out of the emerald waters. The warm, sheltered bay, bids smooth sailing, swimming and snorkelling all year round, and allows easy access to marine parks further a-field such as around the Tarutao islands or the Similans.

Despite Coconut Island’s secluded location, should residents desire to hop over to Phuket for dinner, golf or shopping; the estate runs a regular 24hr water taxi service from The Village pier to LaemHin on Phuket. Trips to the supermarkets are a maximum of 15 minutes, golf courses range from 10 to 30 minutes, and the island’s hub, Phuket City, is only 15 minutes by ferry and taxi.
